Placing Futures Orders

Navigate to Futures from the Trade main menu dropdown.

1. Look up Symbol: Click the Find Futures link to find futures to trade or simply enter the futures symbol in the Symbol field
2. Choose an Action (Buy or Sell)
3. Enter the Quantity

4. Choose an Order Type. Please review the CME Group Order Types for Futures and Options for more details.

   Available Order Types

   • Limit

   • Market with Protection

   • Stop with Protection

   • Stop Limit

5. Select the Duration. Please review the CME Group Order Qualifiers for more details.

   Available Timing Choices

   • Day
   • GTC (Good 'Til Canceled)
6. If applicable, Add an Advanced Order: Click on the Advanced Orders dropdown and select an order type. See Advanced Order Types for more details.
7. Preview Order: When you are satisfied with the trade you are building, click Preview Order.
8. Place Order: At this point you may choose to place the order.

Saved Orders

1. The Save link is located at the bottom of your futures Trade Ticket.
2. Enter the information for the trade you would like to save from the trading screen. Click Save. Your saved order will immediately appear on the right side of the screen in the Saved Orders box.
3. In the Saved Orders box, you can click on the Trade link or Delete icon to trade or delete your saved order.
